On a Mission to End Hunger!

Did you know that Feeding Long Beach is barely one year old, and already has an established set of services that it offers weekly?

That’s right! Every week on Tuesdays, Feeding Long Beach packages and distributes more than 100 sack lunches at Beacon for Him in Long Beach. Everything that is given out is provided by kind and generous donations that keep this incredible program running!

We need you and yours to stop by our booth on Friday, make a purchase or enter a raffle — all proceeds will go toward sustaining and expanding this program that has one mission: end hunger in the community.

Check out yesterday’s Sack Lunch Tuesday in action so you know what you’re giving back to when you give to Feeding Long Beach!

Where does Feeding Long Beach get the bulk of the wonderful, locally grown produce that it includes in Sack Lunch Tuesday meals? CityHeART’s Harvest Partners LB!

This is one stellar organization … each of the programs collaborate and coordinate to help one another in one mission of “wholeheartedly loving our city and telling its stories.”

Be sure to stop by Hellada Gallery on Sunday to hear some of those stories we work to share! CityHeART’s Auspicious Arts will be presenting a showcase of work created by folks in recovery at Safe Refuge, formerly known as the Substance Abuse Foundation. We’ve been working with this groups for more than ten weeks, and there will be some incredible work to share!image002
