A Word from Feeding Long Beach

Our meal program, Feeding Long Beach, changes lives and brings joy to those in need.

Watch us live at Sack Lunch Tuesday!

Feeding Long Beach is on a mission to end hunger, but we can’t do it alone! Consider volunteering or donating to support our cause!

Where does Feeding Long Beach get its wonderful produce?

CityHeART’s Harvest Partners LB is a volunteer program that rescues backyard produce and distributes the fruits of their labor across the city for those in need!

Join us on tomorrow’s harvest!

Wholeheartedly loving our city and telling its stories.-

This afternoon, HeARTsy will lead a family art workshop at Century Villages at Cabrillo, and Feeding Long Beach will be serving dinner! This is a monthly CityHeART project, and we hope to see it grow!

We started this collaborative project in Fall, 2016, and we are excited to be bringing it back this Spring! Stay tuned for pictures of today’s special project!

Update from Feeding Long Beach

This month, Feeding Long Beach will join HeARTsy at Century Villages at Cabrillo to lead a family art workshop and then serve a family meal. This is a monthly project that combines two CityHeART programs at CVC.

Feeding Long Beach has incredible supporters and volunteers. Every Tuesday, this program assembles and distributes out more than 100 sack lunches at Beacon for Him in Long Beach. We call it Sack Lunch Tuesday, and it’s a wonderful opportunity to give back. This project has remarkable support from folks across the community who show up to help put the lunches together and folks who donate the food supplies for the lunches.

Check out what happened this week:

Feeding Long Beach needed supplies to keep Sack Lunch Tuesday afloat, and because of its incredible support in the community, this program reached out on Facebook to its more than 800 followers to ask for help.

We love our supporters and followers, and we couldn’t do this without you.
